About

In 1956, a group of Birmingham city employees recognized the city’s dedicated workers needed affordable, reliable financial services. On the eighth floor of City Hall, they founded what is now known as Birmingham City Credit Union. Like all credit unions, Birmingham City Credit Union is owned by its members, and every member has equal voting power to choose the credit union’s board members.

Now located at 2725 35th Ave N Birmingham, AL 35207 in downtown Birmingham, the credit union’s mission is simple: help the hard working people of our city save money and reach their financial goals. It achieves this goal every day by providing affordable checking accounts and savings programs, as well as loans of all kinds with great rates and payments that fit members’ budgets.
